HomeBlogNest Thermostat Support Being Discontinued

Old Nest thermostats are about to become dumb:

Google’s Nest has announced the discontinuation in support of its first and second generation smart thermostats.Gen 1 Nest thermostat

As of October 2025, Nest’s Learning Thermostats will no longer connect to or work in the Google Nest or Google Home app. Third-party assistants and other connected features such as Home/Away Assist will also no longer work. Crucial temperature and humidity alerts will no longer be pushed to your phone.  All is not lost – the thermostat can still be controlled directly at the device – but say goodbye to the smart features you invested in.

WE ARE HERE TO HELP!  Do you want a thermostat that can be controlled from anywhere? Our team of professional HVAC technicians have had a decade of success with Ecobee Smart Thermostats – they are our number one recommendation for Wi-Fi-enabled smart thermostats! (And their first gen is still going strong!)

The Ecobee line of programmable thermostats are designed to lower energy costs – they’re so smart that they will pay for themselves in about a year! Installing an Ecobee saves up to 26% on heating and cooling costs and allows for monitoring and control from any smartphone, tablet, or Apple Watch.

This system will stay on top of your home’s well-being by providing alerts for sudden temperature drops or spikes. It will also learn YOUR schedule to maximize savings and around the clock.
